Usually, before a dog arrives at Johnson’s Sanctuary for Senior Dogs, we see a couple photos, and maybe some video from the shelter. A vet evaluates their medical condition and makes a best guess as to the dog’s age, breed, and temperament. I wish each rescued dog could tell me their life’s story.
I know each dog has experienced trauma, and one of the steps towards their healing is getting to know and understand them. When a dog arrives, a sample of their saliva is sent to DNA My Dog, and their photo is sent to Lauren Moss, psychic medium.
The DNA test identifies the breeds genetically represented in the dog. When you learn about the characteristics of each breed and what motivates them, you can better understand their behavior. You’re given information about potential health issues associated with each breed, and their life expectancy, as well.
Some people may be skeptical about this science. I know of someone who submitted their dog’s DNA to several different labs and received several different results. But this was over ten years ago, and in the last decade advancements have been tremendous. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t contest the accuracy of DNA My Dog’s results.
Some people may be skeptical about psychic readings. I’m not. Psychic medium Lauren Moss can tap into an animal’s physical and emotional sensations. She’s able to interpret their feelings with incredible accuracy. Lauren’s readings also indicate potential health issues to be aware of. Again, in my experience her insights are uncannily true, and have informed decisions about the dogs’ care.
Here are some highlights from the results. I hope you find this as fascinating and fun as I do!
