Are you an experienced dog parent with room in your heart and your home for a sweet senior dog? Use our FOSTER APPLICATION below and we will help match you with a dog who needs your help. You provide a loving temporary home while Johnson's Sanctuary remains responsible for veterinary care, and seeks a great forever home. Additional support is available as needed.

By fostering a large breed senior dog, you open a space allowing us to rescue another senior from being confined in a shelter, or euthanized. We are part of a large animal rescue network, and can help you find just the dog you are looking for.
WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO EXPECT
- Foster application – all adoptions and foster situations start with the completion of this simple form.
- Home visit and follow up interview - we'll discuss what you are looking for and review what you have to offer a dog.
- Introductions - We'll introduce you to your potential match, followed by home visit(s); a few may be required in homes with children and other pets.
- Placement - Johnson's Sanctuary will seek a forever home, with your assistance in evaluating the dog's needs in your care as well as potential adopters.
- Weekly evaluations of the dogs best interests.
